Designing the new edge of the village together

Please book your spot by emailing clerk@shenleyvillage.org

Purpose of the Design Day 1: We are testing the design rules of our draft neighbourhood plan by designing together and building models for the area on the western side of London Road, opposite Shenley Primary School and St Martins Church. There is a sizable pond on the other side of London Road that could become a new public amenity space for the whole village and a fine connection between the current ‘community core’ of the old village and a new rural edge of the village.

The day will be supported by our independent facilitators Angela Koch of ImaginePlaces and Robert Sakula of Ash Sakula Architects.  And we will have a ‘surprise’ guest telling us about a project we think we can take inspiration from.

We will be publishing a short report shortly after the Design Day for all to review. If you can’t join us for the full day perhaps pop in and see what’s emerging in the hands-on workshops. All are welcome and we will have a ‘little drawing corner’ for children too.

Please book your full-day attendance if you have not already by emailing  clerk@shenleyvillage.org  by Thursday morning (12TH July) so we can make arrangements for a light lunch.  Thank you!

Do come and join us.  It’s our village.
